Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has asked the Centre to inform by Monday the measures taken in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the flood-hit people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The SC asks the Centre and the state to put in urgent efforts for making constitutional offices like the J-K High Court functional.

"We have no doubt that the Centre will take necessary steps forthwith," says the court.

The Attorney General tells the SC that the committee headed by the Prime Minister is  overseeing/coordinating rescue efforts, and that armed
forces' operations is in full swing.

The SC asks the Centre to consider the suggestion of forming unified
