As part of the high-level preparation, PM Modi met former ambassadors to China and former foreign secretaries Shyam Saran and Shiv Shankar Menon. Modi has understood the scope of dealing with China with help of them. Menon has been National Security Advisor and PM's envoy to handle Boder talks with China.
