The Supreme Court has refused to take on record the Aam Aadmi Party's affidavit on a sting operation alleging that Delhi BJP MLA Sher Singh Dagar tried to bribe their MLAs in a bid to help his party form government in Delhi.

The SC says some progress seems to be made on govt formation in Delhi and asks the Centre to take a decision swiftly. The Centre informs the SC about the L-G's letter to the President on govt formation, following which the SC defers the case till Oct 10.  The government says it hasn't received any communication from the President on government formation.

Arvind Kejriwal meanwhile says Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung has been "batting for the BJP".

Kejriwal's claims comes a day after BJP chief Amit Shah said that the party should form the government in Delhi as it has the required number of members, as per news reports.

AAP had earlier met President Pranab Mukherjee and urged him to not allow Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to invite BJP to form a government in Delhi.
