5 policemen injured in stone-pelting in northeast Delhi

Five policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), were injured as they came under attack by an irate crowd in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar today. Trouble started in the area around 9 am when a group of locals objected to two minor girls visiting some male friends instead of going to school.

"Some locals, who saw these girls entering a house, created a ruckus outside... As some boys who were inside the house came out, the mob attacked them. In the meantime, somebody made a PCR call and a police team reached the spot," said a police officer.
