Mamata refuses to pledge support to PM's Jan Dhan Yojana

The PMO is said to be disappointed with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

It is believed that she did not evince any interest in the Prime Minister's Jan Dhan Yojana launched last week, even as all the other 28 CMs pledged support from their state governments.

The PMO is believed to have called each chief minister and sought their government's cooperation. That was followed up by calls from finance minister Arun Jaitley.

But Mamata has not yielded and it is believed she refused to take calls from Delhi. This has obviously not gone down well with the BJP leadership.
