Court dismisses Tejinder Singh's bail plea in Tatra truck scam case

Lt Gen (retd) Tejinder Singh's bail plea in the Tatra truck case has been struck down and a court has ordered his arrest. Singh has charged with offering a Rs 14 crore bribe to then Army Chief Gen V K Singh for clearing a file pertaining to the procurement of 1,676 heavy mobility Tatra vehicles.

Special CBI judge Madhu Jain took cognisance of the charge sheet and relied upon statements of former Defence Minister A K Antony, V K Singh and other witnesses whose testimonies were recorded by the agency during the probe.
