Military takes charge of Burkina Faso as President resigns

Gen. Honore Nabere Traore, the head of Burkina Faso's military, has taken over presidential duties of the West African nation, after the resignation of President Blaise Compaore.
Traore on Friday said that he will lead the country through a political transition and elections.
