RPI (A) chief Ramdas Athawale met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray today. Later talking to the media, he said, "Shiv Sena is ready for a compromise. It is keen to form a government with BJP in Maharashtra."

In the Maharashtra elections, the BJP pocketed 123 seats -- including one won by its ally Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, in an unprecedented performance. The saffron party is short of 22 seats to reach the magic figure of 145 seats in the 288-member House.
