Pistorius has to serve a minimum 10 months before he comes up for parole

Very little reaction from the family or Oscar Pistorius himself. He has to serve at least 1/6th of the sentence of five years, after which he can be sent for correctional supervision. This means he cannot be considered for release before 10 months.
