Judge: There is a difference between punishment and vengeance

Pistorius sentencing: Judge Masipa tells the court that society cannot always get what they want. Courts do not exist for a popularity contest but only to dispense justice. The general public may not even know the difference between punishment and vengeance.

So, does this mean Pistorius will not be jailed, which is what people seem to want.
