All quiet from the Left

Left parties have been remarkably silent over the results of the Maharashtra and Haryana polls. Even those who draft the press statements of the CPM and CPI were astonished over the landslide victory of the BJP, so much so that the ink seems to have dried up in their quills. Consequently, there have been no official or otherwise, statements from the politburo. A BJP leader commented that the Left is probably waiting for the the plenary session of the Congress before they make a statement.
