Will it be super Sunday for the BJP in Maharashtra?

In Maharashtra, exit polls suggest that the BJP is way ahead of its rivals.

The party which contested elections along with the Shiv Sena in 2009 got 46 out of 288 seats. This time, the BJP could, polls predict, fall just short of the magic figure of 144.

The end of Shiv Sena-BJP and Congress-NCP ties has resulted in four-legged battle in Maharashtra.

While the Congress and NCP are braving anti-incumbency factor, former allies Shiv Sena and BJP contesting alone can make a dent in their respective poll prospects.
