Fadnavis: Nobody in race for CM

Will this man be Maharashtra's new CM? Devendra Fadnavis (44) is the BJP's chief ministerial choice in Maharashtra, though the man himself, unlike Gopinath Munde's daughter, Pankaja, has not thrown his hat in the ring.

In a country ruled by caste, the decision to put Fadnavis, a Brahmin, in the ring, signals the party's change from deciding candidates from the all-powerful Maratha community.

Fadnavis, who is also the president of the Maharashtra unit of the BJP, has said that there are no frontrunners for the race to be CM.
