Devendra Fadnavis: Maharashtra CM will be from BJP

Broad smiles all around at Devendra Fadnavis's 2-minute presser.

Fadnavis who won the from the Nagpur south-west seat says despite the split with the Shiv Sena, the BJP has notched a triple-fold win in the state compared to its earlier figures.

More importantly, Fadnavis announced that the CM for Maharashtra will be from the BJP. "We will form the government, we will have a BJP chief minister, I can say this with assurance. Aage dekhiye hota hai kya. The BJP Parliamentary Board meet and decide on the course of action," he said.

So, that put's an end to speculation that the BJP will tie-up with the Shiv Sena. The Sena has held on its demand that the CM will be from it's party.
