State BJP president Devendra Fadnavis wins from Nagpur South-West by 30,500 votes. Likely to be the next Maharashtra CM.

Ajit Pawar wins from Baramati.

And former CM Prithviraj Chavan has also won from Karad, Maharashtra. Mega celebrations outside his home. Chavan, who created a furore with his interview to the Telegraph newspaper, had to apologise for his statements which the party perceives to be anti-Congress.

Congress's Rajiv Shukla says the central leadership is not responsible for the defeat of the party in both the states; he blames the state leadership.
