Supporters of DMK and AIADMK clashed against each other in various instances since she was jailed on September 27.

The bail is not conditional except that the appeal book is ready by December 18. She has also been told that once she gets out of jail she has to appeal to her supporters to maintain peace. The SC has warned that if there is a single instance of violence, Jaya will go back to jail.
