Will Maharashtra, Haryana hear Modi's 'Go out and vote' plea?

Elections are being held for the Maharashtra and Haryana assemblies with moderate to brisk polling recorded in the first couple of hours.

People were queuing at polling stations before the voting began at 7am amid tight security to elect the 288-member Maharashtra assembly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people, especially youngsters, to ensure record voting in Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly polls.

 "Urging the people of Haryana and Maharashtra to go out and cast their votes. Youngsters must show the way & ensure recordturnout," PM tweeted. Modi campaigned extensively for his party in the polls and held a record number of rallies any Prime Minister had addressed for any state election.
