After the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiv Sena split in Maharashtra, speculation was rife over a possible alliance between the Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. MNS chief Raj Thackeray now has revealed that the Sena wanted talks on a possible alliance after splitting with the BJP, but didn't move forward on it. "I spoke to Uddhav and asked him what happened. He said that the BJP has done this and that. I asked him what to do now. He said we won't target each other and let's talk. So I asked him how. He said he will send his leaders for discussion. My leaders called them the next morning. They were supposed to meet. But then after we made calls they stopped responding. We are not dying for an alliance. We don't need them now. We won't need them in future too. Now we've told the that they will call us if they need to," Thackeray said.
