PM Modi arrives in Haryana to campaign for BJP

Kickstarting the Bharatiya Janata Party's poll campaign in Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Haryana's Karnal amid high security. The prime minister was given a grand welcome. Addressing the over 1 lakh crowd, Modi began his speech with 'Bharat Mata ki jai' chants. 
Today, Congress president Sonia Gandhi will also begin her party's campaign in Rohtak. Congress vice president Rahul will also campaign in the coming week, as will other senior Congress leaders. Campaigning ends on October 13 and the state goes to polls on October 15.
