Militants hurl grenade in public in Srinagar's Lal Chowk

Seven people were injured when a powerful hand grenade exploded in the middle of Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Senior police officials said that militants hurled a grenade at a police party new the Palladium Cinema, which caused injuries to bystanders. "The injured have been evacuated to hospital and the area has been cordoned off by officials," said a senior police official. No one has yet taken responsibility for the attack.
