Another technical snag halts AI flight take off in Chennai

A Kuwait-bound Air India plane from here today could not take off due to a technical snag, airline officials said.

The Chennai-Goa-Kuwait flight, with 159 passengers and crew onboard, was brought back to the bay after it ran for a short distance on the runway.

The aircraft was scheduled to leave by 7.30 pm and it was brought back to the bay shortly after it started to roll down the runway.

Three people have been arrested and charged in the killing of Sikh activist Nijjar, CTV News quoted a senior government source as saying.

India maintains Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura belong to it.

Arun Beereddy (37), a native of Telangana's Hyderabad, was arrested from Delhi. He handles the 'Spirit of Congress' account on X, the official said.
