The tragic death of 25-year-old Australian batsman Phillip Hughes left the world shocked and heartbroken especially those associated with the game. Sachin Tendulkar was among the many cricketing greats who tweeted about Hughes yesterday, saying, "Shocked to hear about Phil. Sad day for cricket. Deepest condolences to family, friends and well wishers. RIP."

The venerable Times of India reproduced Tendulkar's tweet with an inadvertent but huge error that has made it a laughing stock on Twitter.
