Two Naxals held in Chhattisgarh

Two Naxals, one of them carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, were arrested from separate places in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Bastar region today, the police said.

While a cadre Lakhmu Jurri,30, was apprehended from Narayanpur district, another one - Raje Singh, 26, was rounded up in Kanker district, a senior police official said.

A squad of District Force was conducting a combing exercise in Kurusnar police station area of Bryant, located around 400 kms away from the state capital, when it spotted the ultra, hiding in Jharawahi forests to keep an eye on the movement of security forces, the official said adding that after surrounding the spot, security personnel nabbed him.
