Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi speaking at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on the eve of Jawaharlal Nehru's 125th birth anniversary. Rahul begins his speech with a anecdote from history of the time when his great-grandfather was interred in Naini Jail. Hes says India is the only country where freedom struggle was based on love. "We got lathis but we did not react in anger. Nehru-ji wrote in the visitors' book of Naini jail, "I thank the British for putting me in jail and keeping me isolated as all that anger I had within me has turned into love for my nation, so I thank them."

Rahul also attacked PM Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan saying, today people have got photo opportunities, they are cleaning streets, less work is done by the Govt. It's not like the Congress has not committed any mistakes, we made mistakes, but we are not short of ideologies."
