NIA searches house of Burdwan blast case prime accused

NIA sleuths today searched the house of absconding accused of Burdwan blast, Sahanur Alam, in Barpeta district, police said.

A team of NIA officials led by Superintendent of Police Debajit Hazarika searched the house of Sahanur alias doctor for clues at Chatala village, police said. The team also questioned Sahanur's father Majibar Rahman and brother Aajijur Rahman about the accused, though the NIA officials declined to divulge the details of their probe to journalists.

The NIA officials also visited one Anowar Mallik's house, where a controversial prayer meeting was held on the day before Eid in July, besides meeting the gaon burha (village headman) of Chatala about some missing youths of the village.
