So, why was Dr Harsh Vardhan shunted out from the health ministry to the low profile science and technology ministry? Rumours doing the rounds is that the BJP is banking on the doctor's clean image and zeal to get a majority in the upcoming Delhi polls. If Dr Harsh Vardhan has to indeed play a bigger role for the Delhi polls to ward off the still strong AAP threat, the decision to move him to a low-profile ministry works because it will give him more time to spare for the state and keep him ready for 'bigger responsibilities'.
