Prison turns down Aamirs plea to screen PK for Sanjay Dutt

The Maharashtra Police's prison department has denied permission to actor Aamir Khan to hold a special screening of his upcoming film PK for his friend and co-actor Sanjay Dutt in the Yerawada prison in Pune.

Dutt is serving a five-year sentence in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

Khan had expressed his wish to hold a screening of the film for Dutt. "I was talking about this with Raj Kumar Hirani We have this thing in mind. We are planning to have a special screening for Sanjay but depending on the permission. We will try our best," Khan said recently.

Sanjay Dutt, 55, essays the role of a friend of PK, the character portrayed by Khan in the film.
