6 injured in clash in Muzaffarnagar

At least six people were injured in a clash between two groups belonging to different communities over an alleged eve-teasing incident in Vehelna village in Muzaffarnagar, UP.

The two sides indulged in stone pelting and attacked each other with sticks yesterday after a quarrel erupted over a girl being allegedly harassed by youths, police said today.

Six people have been admitted to hospital.

A case has been registered in this connection, they said.

Security has been tightened in the area after the incident and extra policemen have been deployed as a precautionary measure.
