Suresh Prabhu resigns from the Shiv Sena

Just moments after he took the oath of office and was sworn in as a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet, Suresh Prabhu has put in his papers at the Sena and has joined the BJP. Sources reported that the Sena was not happy about Prabhu's inclusion in the Cabinet and wanted someone else. However, Modi was keen on Prabhu's name. Earlier, the Sena had nominated Rajya Sabha member Anil Desai to be inducted into Modi's Cabinet.
