May 28, 2014  13:23
Sartaj Aziz, advisor on Foreign Affairs to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif holds a presser on the India visit. "Pak PM had a contructive bilateral meeting and also invited the Indian PM. Although the visit was for a ceremonial occasion, the outcome was better than we expected. Both Prime Ministers recgnized the need to turn a new page. The issue of terrorism came up; the  Pakistan PM informed his counterpart that terrorism is of mutual concern. Pakistan has suffered enormously. As you know the PM (Pak) had said he intended to pick up the threads from where he left in 1999. People and the govt of Pakistan were committed to fighting terrorism. Whenever Kashmir is discussed, their (Hurriyat leaders) views have to be taken along."
