Gujarat legend goes to South Block

Rediff.com's Sheela Bhatt reports from New Delhi: Jagdish Thakkar, the 76-year-old former Gujarat govt official is being called to New Delhi. Thakkar has been Narendra Modi's media handler in Gandhinagar. He is a living legend in Gandhinagar because he has been retained by all chief ministers who have served Gujarat in the lasT 30 years. He is an astute observer of journalists and writes out error-free press releases. Even though he has officially retired, he has never really been able to sit at home. This legend now goes to South Block with Modi.
