MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin holds a presser on who will be attending Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony on Monday, May 26.
Akbaruddin says confirmations have been received from Afghanistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Nepal. He says India has also invited Pakistan, and the response is being awaited.

"Normal for a host to hold a dinner when such leaders are in attendance. It is also normal practice that when senior leaders come to your country, short meetings are held as a courtesy to the guest. There will be short duration meetings between our leadership and visiting dignitaries. Meetings will be held on May 27," says Akbaruddin.
