The Pakistan foreign office will hold a press briefing at around 12:30 pm. That's when we will know if Nawaz Sharif will be attending Modi's swearing-in ceremony on Monday.

Indications coming from Islamabad suggest that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will in fact be attending the event on May 26, although an official confirmation in this regard is yet to be made.

Speaking to a TV news channel, PML-N spokesperson Siddiqul Farooq said, "The Pakistan Prime Minister will in all probability attend the event and reciprocate to the goodwill gesture extended by the new government of India."  Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have already confirmed their attendance.
