Bangladesh speaker to attend Modi swearing-in

Bangladesh confirms that Parliament speaker Shirin Sharmin to attend Modi's swearing in ceremony on Monday.

Tasnim Aslam, Pakistan foreign ministry spokesperson says it's a normal practice that if he/she has a preoccupation, he can nominate somebody. Its not a violation of protocol.

Tunku Varadarajan ‏tweets: If Nawaz Sharif fails to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony, he will squander an incredible opportunity to generate cross-border goodwill.
