Sushilkumar Shinde today left for Mumbai, becoming perhaps the first Cabinet minister from the outgoing UPA government to start the process of vacating his official bungalow.

Shinde, who lost in the Lok Sabha elections from Solapur, has already packed his belongings and the process of the handing over of his Krishna Menon Marg bungalow in Lutyens Zone has begun.

The outgoing home minister said that, earlier, after he had ceased to be the Maharashtra chief minister, he had vacated his official residence within a few days.
