Why Modi may not be sworn in on May 21
May 17, 2014  18:05
Wednesday, May 21, was the day chosen by prime minister-elect Narendra Modi for his swearing-in ceremony outside the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt, the date having been arrived at as per astrological alignment and after checking Modi's horoscope.

But now there could be a hitch, it seems. May 21 was when former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by Tamil Tigers in Sriperumbudur in 1991.

Congress leaders are believed to have informally hinted at this to the new dispensation, and according to a highly placed source the NDA government will be sworn-in on a different day.
