LIVE! Dr Singh's last signature as PM

Dr Manmohan Singh's last signature as Prime Minister was on the file appointing Dr Mahesh Rangarajan as Director of the Nehru Memorial Museum Library. The library is an outfit of the Union Ministry of Culture and since it is a gazzetted post, it has to be cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Rangarajan's services have been extended to 2016. He is a well-known political journalist and a columnist and has served the library since 2010. Dr Singh will demitt office on May 17, a day after the results are announced.
