Dr Singh gets a secretary

Muralidharan Nair has been appointed as secretary to the outgoing Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Orders to this effect were issued on Tuesday. Nair, a Rajya Sabha employee, has been with Dr Singh for the past 20 years. He will hold the status of under secretary to the Government of India and draw a salary.
