IPS officer, who got bail in Sohrabuddin case, reinstated

Suspended IPS officer Dinesh M N, who was recently granted bail by Bombay high court in Gujarat's Sohrabuddin Sheikh alleged fake encounter case, was today reinstated by the Rajasthan government. "The officer was reinstated today and was put under  the awaiting posting orders status," Principal Secretary DOP, Alok Gupta, told PTI.

He said the IPS officer would be given posting soon. A 1995-batch officer, hailing from Karnataka, Dinesh M N was under judicial custody since 2007 in connection with the alleged fake encounter of Sheikh in Gujarat in 2005. He was posted as Superintendent of Police of Alwar district when he was arrested in the case.
