He may not be the biggest challenger in Amethi, but there is another Gandhi in the fray against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for the Amethi Lok Sabha seat where the likes of BJP's Smriti Irani and AAP's Kumar Vishwas are trying hard to gain electoral supremacy.

There are a total of 34 candidates, including a transgender, in the fray in this constituency that will go to polls tomorrow.

The 51-year-old Gopal Swaroop Gandhi, who is fighting on a Kisan Majdoor Berojgar Sangh ticket, has no links with the famous family with which he shares his surname.

A native of Auraiya, Gopal Swaroop claims that the neglect of people here by Congress would pave the way for his victory.

Rahul (43), who defeated his nearest BSP rival by a margin of 3.7 lakh votes in 2009, this time also has to contend with five 'Rams' and one 'Bhagwan'.

Although the contest is largely going to be a triangular one between Rahul, Irani and Vishwas, these other candidates nonetheless feel that their chances of winning are bright.
