'Modi says empower women, I say respect women'

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi while addressing supporters at his home constituency of Amethi said on Saturday that Narendra Modi says women must be empowered, I say women must be respected, and they'll take care of the rest.

The Nehru Gandhi scion also said that Sonia Gandhi (Congress president and Rae Bareli MP) had asked Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to provide electricity in Amethi and Rae Bareli, but opposition parties went to court to stall the initiative. "They (opposition parties) do not care about your interests..They won't be seen even for a day if they manage to win in Amethi,' Rahul said, adding, "you will always find me amidst you, to fight your problems'.
