March 28, 2014  12:26
A helicopter has crashed on the Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan border, near Gwalior. The chopper is believed to be a C-130 J Hercules bought from the US two years ago. Early reports say that the C-130 J had taken off from Agra and crashed west of Gwalior. The chopper was on a regular training mission. No report of casualties yet. This is the first accident involving a C130 for the Indian Air Force. The number of people on board the chopper is not known yet.

The C-130J Super Hercules aircraft played a pivotal role in rescue operations in the Uttarakhand floods last year.
