Former Mumbai top cop AN Roy to be adivisor to Andhra governor

The Union Home Ministry has finalised two names as advisors to the Governor of Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan.

One, is the former Chief Secretary of Rajasthan -- Salauddin Ahmed, an IAS officer.

The other name that is doing the rounds is A N Roy, an IPS officer and former police commissioner of Mumbai.

Salauddin Ahmed was the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan and retired from the IAS in 2012. He was considered to be close to the former Rajashtan CM Ashok Ghelot. Both advisors will reach Hyderabad at the earliest and coordinate with the administration till the Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha elections are completed.
