Congress leader Digvijaya Singh today condemned the "ink attack" on AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal in Varanasi and said it could be the handiwork of "fascist" BJP.

At the same time, he hit out at Kejriwal, calling him a "nautankiwala who can only speak nonsense without backing it with any evidence."

"I condemn this ink attack on Kejriwal. This is the way fascists act, BJP is a fascist party, they do such things! Disgraceful," Digvijay said in a tweet today.

Ink was thrown at Kejriwal by unknown persons while he was undertaking a roadshow in Varanasi yesterday following his visit to the Kal Bhairav and Kashi Vishwanath temples.

In another tweet, Digvijay said, "I am not a fan of Kejriwal who is a nautankiwala who can only speak nonsense without backing it with any evidence".
