Lalitha Kumaramangalam knows what it means to lose a close relative in an air crash. But for the Tamil Nadu BJP leader and her family, the loss they were asked to accept this evening is harder to take than the death of her father four decades ago.

The Kumaramangalams are among 200-odd families scattered across the globe whose lives changed forever today when they received a text message. "Malaysia Airlines deeply regrets that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board survived,' the text message read. Full story here
