Advani era is not over yet: Shiv Sena

The Shiv Sena has come out in support of Bharatiya Janata Party veteran L K Advani. Hitting out a the party, in an editorial in Saamna, the Sena said, "Advani is old but not out of the game. Advani era is not over yet. Keeping him on hold over the Gandhinagar seat is an insult to him. If (Narendra) Modi, Ranjnath (Singh) and (Arun) Jaitley can choose constituencies, why can't Advani."

The party's seniormost leader was miffed over the decision to field him from Gandhinagar against his wish of Bhopal. But he finally gave in and agreed to contest from Gandhinagar.

He has been representing the Gujarat constituency since 1991.
