Rajasthan aims to register over 75 per cent voter turnout

The Rajasthan Election department is aiming to set a new record in voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.

The department has taken up several new initiatives to achieve its target of registering over 75 per cent polling. Programmes have been planned to create awareness about elections and to motivate voters to exercise their franchise. The new initiatives include mobile apps, caller tunes and use of social networking sites.
