Uma wants Bhopal and so does Sushma

Meanwhile, BJP leader Uma Bharti is keen to contest the Parliamentary polls from Bhopal, not Jhansi. She has also met the party's PM candidate Narendra Modi and president Rajnath Singh to discuss this.

Now, the apparent spanner in the works is senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, who is also keen on contesting from Bhopal. Vidisha, from where she was elected in 2009, will be her second choice.

The BJP's final list of Lok Sabha candidates will be released on Thursday at 8 pm.
