Publisher on Wendy Doniger's On Hinduism

After publisher, Aleph, pulled out the American author Wendy Doniger's book, 'On Hinduism', last week, they have issued a statement today saying that the book is out of stock and will be reprinted only after a panel looked at the "objectionable matter" in the book. The statement says the author also concurs with the publishing house.

On March 4, bookshops across Bangalore received calls from representatives of Aleph Book Company, promoted by Rupa Publications, seeking return of all copies of the book.
