Markets open at record high, Sensex touches 21685.80

The markets today opened at a record high with the Sensex at 21685.80 and Nifty at 6452.95.

Yesterday, the Sensex has made two records. It hit a fresh intraday high of 21,525; and ended the day at all-time closing high of 21,513.87; up 237.01 points, or 1.11 per cent.

The Nifty closed the day at 6,401.15, up 72.50 points, or 1.15 per cent.

According to analysts, global cues and opinion polls on which party will come to power after the 16th Lok Sabha General Elections would be the driving force for the Indian equities, reports The Economic Times.
